Residential & Commercial Snow Plowing for Newton, Wellesley, Weston, and All Surrounding Areas

Residential and Commercial snow removal comes down to one thing: a clear, safe driveway when you need it. We plow homes and busienesses in Newton, Wellesley, Weston and all surrounding towns, keeping our routes short so every property is cleared promptly. Routes fill before the first storm, so it's best to call early in the season.

What's Included

  • Driveway plowing, cleared down to the pavement
  • Shoveling of walkways and entries, including steps and the path to the front door
  • Clearing the plow bank the town leaves at the end of the driveway
  • Ice management, with material chosen for the surface
  • Return visits during longer storms, rather than a single pass afterward

Service begins at one to three inches of accumulation, set when we write your contract.

Book in Fall

Our routes are built around our service area and kept to a size that lets us clear every property in a reasonable window. Once a storm is in the forecast, properties can't be added to a route, so contracts are typically signed in October and November.

Seasonal or Per Storm

  • Seasonal contract - A set price for the winter, regardless of how many storms arrive. It's predictable and gives your property priority on the route. In a heavy winter it's often the better value, and in a light winter you'll have paid for some storms that didn't come.
  • Per storm - Billed by event, so you pay only for the snow that falls. Seasonal contracts are cleared first, and per-storm properties are scheduled around them.

We offer both and are happy to help you decide which fits your property best.

What to Expect During a Storm

During a long storm, we make multiple passes rather than waiting until it ends. Plowing a foot of snow at once is slower and leaves a poorer result.

Overnight storms are cleared for the morning whenever conditions allow. If snow is still falling at seven in the morning, we'll keep up with it and finish once it stops.

Ice and Salt Damage

Ice is often the bigger hazard, especially during freeze-thaw cycles when meltwater refreezes overnight.

Rock salt is the standard material, but it loses effectiveness in very cold temperatures and can damage concrete, metal and plantings along driveways and walks. On newer concrete, pavers and near valued plantings, alternative materials are worth the extra cost. We choose material to suit the surface, which matters if you have a new paver walkway.

We Walk the Property Before the Season

Plow damage usually comes from not knowing what's under the snow. Driveway edges, irrigation heads, landscape lighting, low walls and bed edges are all easy to hit without a plan.

We walk each property in the fall, mark edges and obstacles, and agree with you on where snow can and can't be piled. Snow piled on a bed carries salt into the soil and can crush shrubs under the weight, so placement matters.

Common Questions

When do I need to sign up?

October or November. Routes are set before the season begins.

What time will my driveway be cleared?

It depends on your position on the route, and we plan routes so every property is cleared within a reasonable window. For overnight storms that have ended, that generally means by morning.

Do you shovel walkways too?

Yes. Walkways, steps and entries are part of residential service, and they're often what matters most for getting out of the house.

What about the bank the town plow leaves?

It's included. A driveway isn't truly clear until the end is open.
